The canal is a waterway, not a jetty. A record catalogued under Dubai Water Canal can still leave the berth unstated, and a cruise marketed as a canal cruise can have a different recorded area — the Jaddaf waterfront, for instance. Al Faris describes its own canal dining cruise as departing from the Festival City / IMAGINE area on its website, which is exactly why a district name should never be treated as a meeting point.
